Lorne Wells
I’m hands-on with every project, ensuring smooth delivery from start to finish. With 33 years in civil construction, forestry, and heavy machinery operation, I’ve worked on everything from earthmoving, site prep, roading, drainage, retaining walls, and forestry work. My role is more than operating machines—it’s about finishing every job on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
I work directly with clients, keeping them informed and turning their vision into reality. Strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers are key to keeping projects efficient. Before starting LGW Contracting Ltd, I spent over three decades in civil construction and forestry roles, gaining the hands-on knowledge to lead a quality-focused business.
When not on-site or in a machine, I’m in the gym, on the golf course, outdoors, or spending time with loved ones. If you have a project in mind, let’s make it happen.
Amber Hale
While our team is on-site, I make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes—keeping the business organised, compliant, and financially sound. I handle company compliance, general administration, and ensure our team has the resources and support to deliver quality on every civil construction project.
Before this role, I worked in personal training and recruitment, gaining experience in compliance, time management, customer service, and accounts administration. For six years, I ran my own personal training business while serving as head trainer for CityFitness, developing a broad skill set and overcoming diverse challenges. This background gives me a strong understanding of how to keep a business running efficiently for both our team and clients.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing netball, spending time with loved ones, and reading—my favourite author is Colleen Hoover. I believe balance is key: running an efficient business means we can deliver top-quality work while enjoying life beyond it.
